Whether you’ve never been in a kayak before or you’ve been thinking, “maybe I should try that one day…” — this is your moment. Float & Flow is a beginner-friendly, joy-filled day on the water created especially for women of color to explore, move, laugh, and just be. No pressure. No experience needed. Just good vibes and community.
We’ll be paddling a beautiful, mostly flatwater section of the Chattahoochee River, perfect for first-timers and those looking for a peaceful outdoor experience. Expect gentle movement, scenic views, and plenty of time to take it all in at your own pace.
What to Expect
Easy-to-paddle sit-on-top kayaks (super stable + beginner-friendly)
A 4-mile float from Johnson Ferry to Powers Island
Approx. 1.5–3 hours total (including shuttle time)
Time to move, relax, laugh, and connect with other amazing women
A supportive, judgment-free environment—always

Location: Johnson Ferry to Powers Island (4 river miles)
Check-In: 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time
Water Conditions: Mostly flatwater, great for beginners
National Park Fee: $5 per vehicle
